How long have you been running & why do you love it?
I have been running my entire life through sports, however, it was after the birth of my second son in 2013, that my shift focused and my love for running blossomed. Running is my time, it's the one thing that I do for myself daily. I love setting goals, and the process it takes to achieve them.
What was your biggest achievement as a runner? What obstacles did you overcome to get there?
My biggest achievement as a runner would be the first time I qualified for the Boston Marathon at the 2014 Marine Corps Marathon. I had my second son in 2013, and knew if I trained properly and didn't rush the process. It had been 5 years since my last marathon, and at that time I ran a 4:13. It was a lofty goal, but attainable. I had some issues in the first couple of miles, I regrouped and focused. I knew at about mile 21 that I was on track to qualify.
"My #snapshotmoment is the 2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣5️⃣ Marine Corps Marathon where I ran my first 3:14 marathon..."
If you could relive any race you’ve done in the past, which would it be?
2015 Marine Corps Marathon, it was one of those races where everything fell into place beautifully.
Are you training for any upcoming races? If so, which one(s)?
The Richmod Marathon.

How has Wearsafe changed your fitness routine?
I am able to run safely and comfortable in the predawn hours.
What’s your favorite thing about Wearsafe?
It provides my family with comfort when I go out on my runs. Especially when I am on a long run and can be on my feet for upwards of 3 hours.
What's your favorite way to wear your Tag?
On my sports bra.
What are your running goals for 2017?
Hit sub 3:10 in the marathon.
What was the best training advice you ever received?
Even if your paces aren't what you were supposed to hit, the effort is still there. Remain patient and don't rush the process. Rome wasn't built in a day.
What advice would you give to new runners, or people just getting back into running?
At the end of the day a mile is still a mile. Run what best suits you, for me that's the marathon, for others it could be the 5k.
