Run solo or with others?
How long have you been running & why do you love it?
I've been racing for about 7 years and I love that it has taught me that I'm capable of so much more than I think. I love to work hard towards a goal and see it pay off.
What was your biggest achievement as a runner? What obstacles did you overcome to get there?
For me, it was achieving my Boston Qualifying time of 3:33:53 last October. I trained through the toughest training cycle yet with lots of speed work and it paid off. That finish line feeling was incredible.
If you could relive any race you’ve done in the past, which would it be?
The Sedona Half Marathon! The views were AMAZING. I never wanted the race to end.
" 7 solo miles around Killarney this morning at a 8:53 average pace..."
Are you training for any upcoming races? If so, which one(s)?
I'm currently training for the 2017 Chicago Marathon this October. Hoping for another PR and Boston Qualifying time.
What’s the biggest race on your bucket list?
The Boston Marathon!!
Favorite way to fuel up: Before, During, & After?
"5.20 miles tonight with some tempo miles thrown in to round out July with 152.88 miles...
What’s your go-to spot for awesome running gear?
I love Fleet Feet Sports here in Chicago.

I love Running Vegan NYC.
What are your running essentials?
How has Wearsafe changed your fitness routine?
I love being able to go on solo runs early in the morning and feel safer with Wearsafe.
What’s your favorite thing about Wearsafe?
I love that it's a small piece of mind. I hardly notice my Wearsafe Tag's there when I'm running, but mentally I feel more prepared and safer. I love it!
"A lot of my runs are solo. Early mornings & late evenings. It's hard to always feel safe no matter how smart about it you are, which is why I'm happy to be a part of the @wearsafelabs team... "
What’s your favorite way to wear your Tag?
On the band of my shorts.
What are your running goals for 2017?
New marathon PR and 3 new states added to my "Race in 50 States goal".
Where do you look for fitspiration?
All the amazing runners I follow on Instagram.
What was the best training advice you ever received?
"Never outrun your joy of running." At the end of the day, we do this for fun and we have to remember that.
What advice would you give to new runners, or people just getting back into running?
Don't give up because of one bad run or one bad training week. It happens to everyone! Trust in your love of running and stay with it.
